Description

Wilderness Survival is a 2-day intensive taught by Dr. Bob Linde AP, RH(AHG). This class is designed for the beginner to intermediate level person. We will explore what to do when lost on land or sea. The focus will be on our unique tropical environment. Be prepared for Zombies, lost in the woods/sea, self care post hurricane, or longer term issues. Topics include herbal first aid, foraging wild foods, shelters, fire and identifying bioregional medicinal plants. Although this class will be offered on Zoom, it will best be taken in person for hands-on practice and plant ID. Bob has been a wilderness survivalist since he was a preteen. His experience is diverse with 5 years in the military, 3 years on a small sailboat, scoutmaster in Germany, treasure hunter, commercial fisherman, guide on 30 day canoe trips around Florida, sailing instructor, and wilderness youth counselor. Bob enjoys problem solving in the wilderness and has traveled everywhere from the arctic circle in Canada, wilds of Alaska, the headwaters of the Amazon, Desert Storm, and throughout Europe. You can see his 12 part TV series on INTI TV in Ecuador. This class will be offered In Person only.
