Our minds are constantly processing, reacting, and adapting—and in today’s world, they’re often overwhelmed. Ayurveda sees the mind (manas) as closely linked to the doshas and to ojas, our vital reserve of energy. In this class, we’ll explore the Ayurvedic and scientific understanding of how stress, energy, and mood are interconnected. We’ll dive deep into adaptogens—Ayurvedic herbs that support the body’s ability to adapt to stress—like Tulsi, Shankhpushpi, Kapikkachu, Bacopa, Gotu Kola and other complimentary herbs like Mimosa, Gingko, & Rhodiola. These powerful plants help build up reliance to stress, support emotional stability, and promote clarity and focus. You'll learn how to work with them safely and mindfully, aligning with your constitution and current state. You’ll leave with practical strategies for supporting mental clarity and emotional resilience through herbs, lifestyle rhythms, and nourishing practices that promote sattva—the balanced state of mind Ayurveda sees as key to well-being. We’ll be making medicine together in class-bring your 4oz jar along to take home your herbal goodies!
